By EOD on Monday, January 2, the 20th Century Studios/Disney/Lightstorm film is expected to stop $433.1M state.

Disney/Marvel’s Black Panther: Wakanda Forever in its 8th Friday is to see around $1.6Mday 3 of $4.7M (+33%), 4 days of $6.4M and running overall in its 8th weekend of $439.3M. The sequel is playing in 2,310 theaters.
Sony/Impressive Pictures/Black Label Media I want to play with someone sees a second Friday of $1.3M, -35%, and a second weekend of $3.7M-22% and 4-day of $4.9M for a total of 11 days $15.4M. Biography of Whitney Houston is stored in 3,625 theaters.

Paramount/C2’s Babylon in 3,351 theaters it sees $850K today, $2.9M for its second weekend, -19%, and 4 days of $3.3M adding a total of 11 days $10.7M. The film will soon surpass the totality of the inner life of Guillermo del Toro the way of dreams, the dark, R-rated title from last Christmas that finished with $11.3M. The way of dreams was nominated for four Oscars including Best Picture.
LAST FRIDAY MORNING: It was another $20M day for James Cameron Avatar: The Path of Water, so big that it was the biggest regular Thursday box office of the year after the December 22 sequel took in $14.6M and Top Gun: MaverickJune 2 total. The film’s total run is $358M stateside with the 3-day expected to be around $50M and will cross the $400M mark on New Year’s Day per box office sources. New Year’s Eve Saturday is not expected to be as gloomy as Christmas Eve last week.
So far, the Disney/20th Century Studios/Lightstorm film has the following daily records for 2022: highest and second Thursday, highest 2nd and 3rd Monday of the year, highest 1st and 2nd Tuesday, and highest Wednesday 1 and 3 higher.
Thursday’s global total was $67.9M. Total overseas BO is $810.6M – going up Top Gun: Maverick‘s $770M to be 2022’s No. 1 international release and No. 2 MPA overseas in the pandemic era. Total running around the world for Avatar 2 is 1.168 billion dollars.
