Meghan Markle channels her wedding day style in NYC.
The Duchess of Sussex and Prince Harry hit the red carpet for the Ripple of Hope Award Gala 2022 on Monday night, presenting in front of the union ahead of Thursday’s release of their Netflix documentary, “Harry & Meghan.”
Markle, 41, returned to the couple’s 2018 wedding by wearing Princess Diana’s aquamarine ring, which she last wore as her “something blue” at the reception.
The ring is famous, as Diana ordered it in 1996 as a replacement for her engagement ring after her divorce from King Charles III. While Markle’s engagement ring is made from a diamond once owned by Diana, Kate Middleton wears the late royal’s original sapphire-and-diamond sparkler.
Even Markle’s white Louis Vuitton dress evoked memories of the Sussexes’ wedding with its sharp tailoring and shoulder stitching, which recalled the bateau style Givenchy designer Clare Waight Keller wore to walk down the aisle.
Markle sported black pumps, a matching clutch and dangling earrings, with her hair pulled back in a neat bun.
As for Harry, he looked dapper in a navy blue suit, matching the event’s blue carpet.
The Sussexes arrived in NYC on Monday and will be honored by the non-partisan, non-profit organization, Robert F. Kennedy Human Rights with an award “in recognition of their work on racial justice, mental health, and other social impact initiatives through their .Archewell Foundation.
Also honored with the Sussexes are the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky and the late NBA star Bill Russell.
The award comes as in-laws Prince William and Kate Middleton appeared alongside Caroline Kennedy, daughter of President John F. Kennedy, during their royal visit to Boston, which culminated in the Earthshot Awards.
Middleton, 40, also wore some of the late Princess Diana’s jewels for the event, pairing her green rental Solace London gown with the late mother-in-law’s emerald choker for the sustainability-focused occasion.
The trailer for “Harry & Meghan” was released in the middle of a trip to Wales, with Netflix confirming a Page Six report that the first three episodes of the project will be released on December 8, and the other three on December 15.
