So far, the contestants in the group are all-in in two countries to win it all.
Brazil and Argentina are the two teams most often picked to reach the final among the competing groups, with France and England rounding out the top four semi-final selections. Other tournament favorites Spain and Germany were drawn in smaller groups than the long-shot United States could reach the semifinals.
Brazil and Argentina are determined to reach the finals in more than 25 percent of the groups, with 28.2 percent and 27.7 percent respectively — far, far more than the United States (10.7 percent) and France (7.1 percent).

Group winners
- The Netherlands (Group A): 78.3%
- England (Group B): 72.1%
- Argentina (Group C): 84.0%
- France (Group D): 77.1%
- Germany (Group E): 58.6%
- Belgium (Group F): 69.2%
- Brazil (Group G): 95.9%
- Portugal (Group H): 67.0%
Argentina and Brazil are not only final favorites among our groups, but also have relatively weak groups. So it makes sense that the vast majority of bracket entries have those two teams coming out of their respective groups and winning them outright.
The Netherlands also benefit from an underrated group that includes host nation Qatar. Despite not being among the favorites to reach the final or even the semi-finals, the Dutch are the next most common choice to win their group with 78.3%. England and France complete the top five.
And don’t worry about the United States – the USMNT is the most common pick to finish as runner-up in Group B (58.4%) and reach the knockout stages.

To advance to the round of 16
- Brazil: 92.5%
- Argentina: 79.2%
- England: 66.7%
- France: 64.9%
- Portugal: 57.8%

Brazil lead the way as the team picked the most to reach the Round of 16, with a huge bracket percentage in their favour.
Defending champions France surprisingly have slightly less support than England to reach the knockout stages. England have won the tournament only once in 1966.
The USMNT is also a popular team to reach the Round of 16, with 45% of punters showing some love for the young team.
On to the quarterfinals
- Brazil: 68.9%
- Argentina: 67.7%
- France: 43.7%
- Portugal: 26.1%
- England: 25.2%
- United States: 19.4%
To no one’s surprise, Brazil continue to lead, with defending champions France also gaining some traction.
On the other hand, the group contestants are not too confident about England reaching the quarter-final stage. The Three lions go from third – most likely to reach the last 16 to fifth – most likely to reach this stage.
On to the semi-finals
- Brazil: 39.9%
- Argentina: 34%
- France: 28.2%
- England: 14.6%
- United States: 13.6%
Entries in parentheses are nothing if not consistent. Brazil and Argentina are still the top two teams backed to reach the final four. But there is a surprise – the United States is right up there with England as the popular choice for the semi-finals.
In other words, the contestants are rooting for the USMNT to make a deep run.
On to the finals

Brazil and Argentina continue to shine, but perhaps to our country’s pride, the USMNT is the third most-picked nation to make the 2022 World Cup finals.
